Why We Stand Out
Since 1980, Douglas has been tuning harpsichord and servicing his own harpsichord. He also plays 6- and 7-string viola da gambas. So tuning aurally and in several different temperaments were ingrained in him from the start. He has attended workshops and conferences regarding piano tuning, regulation, and rebuilding. He attended the Renner Academy in 2014. For several years he has learned and assisted Ferdinand Pointer in the Tampa Bay area.
Our specialties are what most other technicians don’t want to touch: Pianos before 1840, square pianos, pneumatic player pianos, modern player pianos, harpsichords, and reed organs. Most techs send this work to him.
